Our newly redesigned passenger backrest for the Kawasaki Concours 1400 was designed to add all the comfort, safety and styling that is expected from a Premier Cycle Accessories product. Our new design has raised the backrest pad slightly to increase back support, we added even more padding and have hidden the backrest bar into the pad for a cleaner look. Our backrest pad has twice the padding as our competitors which gives the passenger a more comfortable ride.

This Passenger Backrest unit is designed to mount to our Concours 14 using OEM bolts and the mounting plate's slots allow for 1-3/8'' of movement forward and aft to assure maximum passenger comfort. The backrest bar is made from 1-1/2'' x 1/4'' thick stainless steel with dual bends for increased strength. The backrest is bolted to the backrest 1/4'' thick 6061 aluminum plate with three stainless steel, 8MM countersunk bolts. The backrest can be easily mounted and unmounted in just a few minutes and the plate does not have to be removed from the bike. The bolt heads are below the surface of the plate for a clean look. and the entire unit including the bolt heads are powder coated with a black texture powder designed to give long lasting durability.

You can also order our Helmet Lock Kit which allows you to secure two helmet to your bike. These locks use a specially designed L-Bracket made exclusivly for our racks. This allows the locks to be mounted underneath the rack as seen in the last photo. All necessary hardware to mount the locks is provided in this kit.

This is a stand alone unit and can not be used as a mounting rack to mount any type of top case, but it does have bungee or strap slots for strapping down small items.
