Welcome to our newsletter. Premier Cycle Accessories was started in 2006 to offer the motorcycle enthusiasts a wide variety of world leading name brand accessories and apparel, including our own line of luggage racks and passenger backrests. We realize most of you get inundated with emails from companies trying to sell you their products while doing nothing else to help you. While we certainly are in the business to sell motorcycle accessories, we feel it is just as important to keep our customers and potential customers informed of various aspects of the motorcycle world that we feel would be of interest to a wide variety of riders. Therefore, we have structured our newsletters to include various articles about different motorcycle related topics. There is an event calendar area highlighting upcoming national motorcycle events, a technical area where we answer questions that our customers repeatedly ask of us. We also include product reviews of motorcycle accessories courtesy of Web Bike World. There is a section introducing new 2012 motorcycle models that have been or soon will be introduced to the market. Our customer corner gives you a chance to highlight your bike with pictures and a short story about your bike. If we feature your story, you’ll receive a $25 gift card. This is your chance to shine! Of course we will tell you about any specials sales we have available and any new products we have put on our website. We also include special sale prices that are only available to our newsletter readers. At the bottom of the newsletter are clickable logos of just a few of the many name brand companies we offer. We hope you find the new format interesting and informative. We also welcome suggestions to anything else you would like to see us include in the newsletter.

A. Yes, but you will need to order a splitter to power the gloves and the jacket. Both items will run at the same temperature which is typically not ideal. This is why we recommend purchasing a dual controller in this situation. You can then dial the temperature in separately for both items which provides for a more preferable heating temperature for your chest and hands.
Q. If I buy a jacket liner do I need to purchase anything else?
A. Technically no. All jackets, vest, liner, and gloves come with their own power cable that hooks directly to the bike's battery. However, this setup will have the heated gear running at the maximum heat level and most people soon find the item too hot to wear. In order to regulate the temperature you need to install an inline single or dual temperature controller to regulate the heat to your comfort level.
Q. Can I run two jacket liners from one dual controller?
A. Technically yes. You can do this, but as stated above if either person has heated gloves both the jacket and gloves will run at the same temperature. Since your hands are normally exposed to more air, gloves require a higher heat level. You may find yourself with cold hands when your torso is comfortable (as most people do).
Q. Do you have this item in stock?
A. If you have looked for Gerbing's gear recently you probably already know that many of Gerbing's items have been in short supply across the country even if you call them direct. These inventory problems stemmed from outsourcing the manufacturing overseas. This has lead Gerbing's to bring back all the manufacturing to the United States. While we all have struggled through this change-over period, we are happy to report that USA made products are starting to flow and inventory levels are improving. We applaud Gerbing's for investing in the USA and doing their part to help put the USA back to work.
Q. Ok, I understand how all this crazy stuff works now, but how do you hook it all up?
A. All of Gerbing's heated gear connects to one another with minimal wiring. The jacket, or jacket liner acts as a hub. You plug your temperature controller into the jacket or jacket liner. From there, the gloves connect to the end of the sleeves, the pants connect to the jacket at the waist, the heated socks, or heated insoles connect right to the bottom of the pants. If you choose to buy only gloves or one of the foot products you will have to run the wires up your sleeves or pant legs to reach your power source.
With Detachable Hard Bags and Windshield, Switchback is Two Bikes in One
Easily convertible from cruising to touring, it's like two bikes in one, with no compromises.
The Dyna Switchback is custom touring motorcycle with detachable hard saddlebags and quick-detach windshield. Remove those components in just seconds to turn the Switchback into a custom street cruiser. Chassis, suspension and tires are engineered to deliver light, confident handling.
The Switchback is the lightest custom touring motorcycle in its displacement category. Its styling evokes a classic proportion and clean, straightforward lines. The bend of the mini-ape handlebar and its pull-back riser combine with full-length rider footboards and a two-up touring seat to offer most Switchback riders all-day comfort.
The new Dyna Switchback motorcycle from Harley-Davidson is a quick-change artist. With its color-matched hard saddlebags and a fork-mounted windshield in place, the Switchback is a custom touring motorcycle. But in seconds, the detachable saddlebags and quick-detach windshield can be removed without tools. Now the Switchback is a custom street cruiser with a gleaming headlamp nacelle, five-spoke cast-aluminum wheels and a mini-ape handlebar. When it's time to head out for a long weekend, simply re-install the saddlebags and windshield, and the Switchback is ready to roll for the state line.
The Switchback is powered by a muscular Twin Cam 103 V-Twin engine that delivers strong performance on the boulevard and on the highway. The Switchback is the lightest custom touring motorcycle in its displacement category, and at 718 pounds ready-to-ride is 94 pounds lighter than a Harley-Davidson Road King. New front-end geometry, premium suspension components, and a low-profile front tire give the Switchback a plush ride and responsive handling.
"The new front end geometry, wheel and tire specs, and cartridge fork are engineered to work together to produce steering that's light to input and immediately responsive," Brian Scherbarth, Switchback project lead engineer. "A demo ride will reveal that Switchback is a capable touring motorcycle that's also really fun to ride."
S100 Engine Brightener for Motorcycle Engine Cases, Black Plastic Cleaner and More
I have to admit that I was prepared to be under-whelmed by this product. I'm not sure why; maybe it's the packaging that didn't do it for me, or maybe it's that I couldn't quite figure out what it was really for. An "engine brightener"?
What was that supposed to mean? It claims on the label to be good for paint, plastics, and rubber, then it talks about "grayed out" engine casings.
So I left this test for last. I have plenty of black engine casings that were getting pretty "grayed out", so I tried a spritz or two on an unobtrusive spot.
I have to tell you I was really amazed at how S100 works! It really did turn a "grayed out" black painted engine part into something that looks brand new!
What better way to start off the Customer Corner then by having a good laugh at the owner of Premier Cycle Accessories. This is my 2006 Yamaha FJR1300 and this was my best alternative when I hit some gravel in a sharp left hand corner and couldn't slow down enough to make the turn. Luckily, it remained upright and no damage to the bike or myself.
My bike is equipped with all types of goodies, including a NC V-Stream Windshield, Sargent Seat, Throttlemeister, Power Commander, K&N Air Filter, Starcom Digital Unit, Adaptiv Radar Detector, Admore LED Brake Light Kits, PCA Luggage Rack, Givi E52 Topcase, PCA Surface Protection Kits, and Helibar Risers. Of course all of these products are available at Premier Cycle Accessories!
If you would like to have your bike featured in the Customer Corner, send us a picture of your bike, (we'll edit it for size) and tell us about it and the accessories you use. If your story is featured you'll receive a $25.00 gift certificate from Premier Cycle Accessories. Email your story and picture to:firstname.lastname@example.org
